Man accused of setting Rebecca Cheptegei on fire dies of burns

Olympic athlete Rebecca Cheptegei died after being set on fire by Dickson Ndiema, who also died from burns sustained during the incident. The altercation was reportedly over a land dispute. Cheptegei’s family had earlier reported threats from Ndiema to authorities. She had recently competed in the women’s marathon at the Paris Olympics.
