NASA sends new astronauts to ISS: Don Pettit, Alexey Ovchinin, and Ivan Vagner join crew amid Sunita Williams’ extended mission

NASA has sent astronauts Don Pettit, Alexey Ovchinin, and Ivan Vagner to the ISS for a six-month mission. They join a team that includes Sunita Williams, whose stay is extended until February 2025 because of technical problems with Boeing’s Starliner capsule. Williams will return on SpaceX’s Crew Dragon capsule early next year.
