Siblings arrested for assaulting cop during Ganesh idol procession in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore

Coimbatore city police detained two brothers for allegedly attacking a constable during a Ganesh idol procession at Vysiyal Street and Sullivan Street intersection. The siblings, reportedly intoxicated, hindered the officer’s duties and used obscene language. They were remanded to judicial custody on Thursday afternoon as investigations continue.
