Thursday throwback: When Satyajit Ray rejected Raj Kapoor’s offer to produce his film

Raj Kapoor was once interested in producing Satyajit Ray’s iconic film ‘Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne but he had one condition. In return, he wanted Ray to direct his eldest son Randhir Kapoor’s first movie. However, the master filmmaker turned down the offer politely.
