A premature baby with Amyand’s hernia underwent a complex three-part surgery at SRM Global Hospitals in Chennai. Born at 28 weeks, the infant had his appendix located in the groin area. The surgery included inguinal exploration, appendectomy, and herniotomy and lasted an hour. Specialized postoperative care was essential due to the baby’s low birth weight.
