Telecom dept comes with new ‘Make in India’ rules for these 36 products

The Department of Telecommunications has mandated that at least 50% local content is required for 36 identified telecom products in public procurement. This measure aims to promote domestic manufacturing and applies to central government entities and projects funded by the Universal Service Obligation Fund. Stakeholders are invited to submit comments on the draft notification within 15 days.
