68-yr-old from city duped of 40Lakh in share trading scam

A 68-year-old Thane resident lost Rs 39.5 lakh in an online share trading scam after joining a random WhatsApp group. The scammers, posing as stock market experts, convinced him to invest with promises of high returns. When he tried to withdraw his profits, he realized he had been duped. Police are investigating the case.
