Ride-share apps, fake bonds part of MO

Every year, a significant number of Indians, including many from Gujarat, attempt to illegally cross the US border in pursuit of the American dream. According to a report from the US Customs and Border Protection (USCBP), there has been a 36% increase in the use of the northern border with Canada for illegal crossings from January 2022 to January 2023. Even as Rajinder Pal Singh, believed to be the kingpin of an organized human trafficking racket, was sentenced to 45 months in a US jail, the court proceedings shed light on the workings of such networks.
