Stay away from dams, rivers as water levels up: Advisory

The state irrigation department has urged citizens to stay away from dam sites and rivers as water levels are rising. The discharge of water from reservoirs is also likely to go up as the storage in many dams has crossed 80%, it said in an advisory.
