‘Privilege not a right’: Canada plans to further limit international students

Canada will reduce international student and worker permits to manage high immigration levels. In 2025, the country plans to issue fewer study permits compared to this year. Work permit eligibility will be limited to spouses of master’s degree students enrolled in programs lasting at least 16 months.
