‘Thug Life’ digital rights sealed at a whopping price for a Tamil film

Mani Ratnam is working on ‘Thug Life’, reuniting with Kamal Haasan after three decades. The film’s digital rights were acquired for Rs 149.7 crore, setting a new Tamil cinema record. Featuring an ensemble cast and music by AR Rahman, the period gangster drama is slated for a December 2024 release.
