Two more Kolkata Durga Puja committees reject state grant in protest over doctor’s alleged rape-murder

Two Durga Puja committees in Kolkata declined the Rs 85,000 state grant as a protest against the alleged rape and murder of a doctor. They accused authorities of negligence and will use community funds for their celebrations. Several other committees have also joined this movement.
