Supreme Court orders Himachal government to pay Rs 3.05 crore compensation to 6 land owners in Solan

The Supreme Court has directed the Himachal Pradesh government to pay over Rs 3.05 crore as compensation to six Solan district landowners whose land was acquired for a cement factory safety zone. The court ruled that Jaiprakash Associates Limited, responsible for the acquisition, should ultimately bear this cost and reimburse the state government.
