4 held in Kolkata for duping Visva-Bharati student in crypto scam, leading to suicide

Birbhum police have arrested four Kolkata residents for allegedly scamming Visva-Bharati student Anamika Singh out of Rs 2.3 lakh through a fraudulent crypto investment app. Singh, who had borrowed money to invest, committed suicide after consuming poison. The suspects are believed to be middlemen in a larger racket operating on Telegram.
