Centre issues show cause notice to one of the ghee suppliers to Sri Venkateswara temple

The Union health ministry issued a show cause notice to a company accused of supplying adulterated ghee to Tirupati’s Sri Venkateswara temple. Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu formed a Special Investigation Team to investigate, after lab reports confirmed animal fat in the ghee used for preparing Tirumala laddus during the previous YSRCP government’s tenure.
