Rs 4,500 crore plan to empower Thane with 24-hour power

A plan has been drawn to upgrade the power distribution system with a budget of Rs4,500 crore for uninterrupted and round-the-clock power supply to Thane district, said union minister Kapil Patil. Under the plan, the power distribution network will be strengthened in the 850 villages of Thane district.
