Proposal sent to FM to link insurance premium to challans

Delhi LG VK Saxena has written to Union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, suggesting that vehicle insurance premiums be linked to traffic violations. He argues this will enhance road safety and promote responsible driving. The proposal comes amid alarming road accident statistics, with over-speeding being a major cause. Successful implementations in other countries were also cited.
