MCD standing committee poll with additional commissioner as presiding officer ‘unconstitutional, illegal’, says AAP

The Aam Aadmi Party has labeled the Municipal Corporation of Delhi standing committee election scheduled for Friday as unconstitutional and illegal, insisting it should occur on October 5 as per Mayor Shelly Oberoi’s announcement. Despite this, Lt Governor VK Saxena directed that the election be held on Friday at 1 pm.
