New Zealand foreign minister to attend UN as prime minister campaigns at home

New Zealand’s Foreign Minister, Nanaia Mahuta, will attend the United Nations General Assembly and then head to Washington for meetings on Pacific regional issues. This comes as Prime Minister Chris Hipkins stays at home to campaign for the upcoming election. Mahuta will deliver the National Statement on behalf of New Zealand at the UN and focus on strengthening relationships with key partners.
