Over 5,600 players, 610 matches: 72-year-old Bordoloi Trophy to be held in new format

The Bordoloi Trophy, an iconic Indian football tournament, is being revitalized by the Guwahati Sports Association. Over 5,600 players will compete in 610 matches from January to March next year. The new format includes district-level competitions leading to a final round at Judges’ Field. The state government supports this initiative to revive the tournament’s legacy.
