Maharashtra’s Kas Plateau: Carpet of flowers

Kas Plateau in Satara district has seen a significant increase in flower blooms this year, with nearly 50% more flowers compared to last year. The rare ‘karvi’ flower is blooming abundantly for the first time in seven years. Favourable weather and the removal of fencing have improved pollination and grazing, drawing thousands of visitors.
