Singapore fines firm, two citizens for exporting sonar system to Myanmar

A Singapore court has fined a company and two employees for illegally exporting a sonar system to Myanmar in 2018. The employees, who worked for survey equipment supplier Hydronav, pleaded guilty to exporting strategic goods without a permit. The company was fined Sg$1.13 million ($828,618), while the employees were fined Sg$45,000 and Sg$35,000 respectively.
