Border Gavaskar Trophy: Selectors eyeing Ruturaj Gaikwad as third opener in Australia

Ruturaj Gaikwad has been considered by India’s national selectors and team management as the third opener for the upcoming five-Test series in Australia. While not selected for the T20I series against Bangladesh, he has been tasked to lead Rest of India in the Irani Cup against Mumbai, to keep his red-ball form intact.
