This winter may be harsh in North India due to La Nina conditions: IMD

Summer monsoon in India ended with above normal rainfall. IMD forecasts La Nina conditions forming by October-November, suggesting a potential harsh winter for north and northwest India, including Delhi-NCR. The true severity of the winter will be determined later as La Nina strengthens. The IMD will provide a more accurate forecast in November.
