Andhra Pradesh discoms propose to collect Rs 8100 crore fuel adjustment charges

Power utilities in Vijayawada propose collecting Rs.8100 crore in fuel and power purchase cost adjustment charges for 2022-23. The additional burden on consumers could be Rs.1.27 per unit if approved. Delays in project commissioning and high short-term market costs are cited as reasons. A public hearing is scheduled for October 8.
