Kremlin says Russia and China must edge closer to counter Western efforts to contain them

Senior Kremlin official Nikolai Patrushev called for closer policy coordination between Moscow and Beijing to counter Western containment efforts. He reaffirmed Russia’s support for China’s positions on Taiwan, Xinjiang, and Hong Kong, and highlighted the importance of deepening Russian-Chinese cooperation. Patrushev also mentioned Putin’s upcoming talks with Xi Jinping and the expansion of the BRICS partnership.
