Hyderabad’s CCS police have charged two Bank of India employees, Vanga Balu Sandeep and G. Syamala, with embezzling ₹2.5 crore from customer accounts and the bank’s Treasury Settlement account. The funds were misappropriated between April 2021 and July 2024, with Sandeep spending a portion on online betting.
