A lesser-known volcano that releases blue-coloured lava

The Kawah Ijen, on Indonesia’s Java island, recently made news for its breathtaking electric blue flames that portray this majestic natural wonder. A likely misunderstanding of the display as blue lava, instead of ignition of sulfur gases released from the volcano, did not stop the mass attraction it has to date. A very popular viral video that depicted the blue flames has kept the entire world in complete astonishment.
