Love, ‘family’ & a name: Newborn left to die finds best of humanity in Noida hospital

A newborn baby boy, who was abandoned in a drain in Noida, India, has received an outpouring of support and interest from families wanting to adopt him. The baby, now named Sivan, was rescued and is currently recovering in hospital. He had rat bite injuries and infections, but is now out of danger. The hospital staff have become attached to him and are treating him like their own. The child welfare committee has instructed the hospital to transfer him to a childcare facility. Police are investigating to find the people who abandoned him.
