Mumbai’s Taloja jail constable on duty held for possessing narcotics worth Rs 10 lakh

A 38-year-old constable was arrested for smuggling narcotics worth Rs 10 lakhs into Taloja central prison hidden in his tiffin bag. Deployed for five years, he intended to sell the drugs to addicted undertrials. The contraband included ganja, charas, and MDMA. An FIR under NDPS Act was registered, and he was detained by Kharghar police.
