Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar appointed new NCW chief

Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar is appointed as the new chairperson of the National Commission for Women, succeeding Rekha Sharma. Rahatkar, previously the Maharashtra Women’s Commission chief, will commence her tenure immediately. The Ministry of Women and Child Development also confirmed Archana Majumdar’s appointment as an NCW member for three years.
