May have to cancel 700 flights in September, Akasa Air tells court after many pilots resign ‘abruptly’

Indian budget airline Akasa Air has cancelled 600 flights in August and may cancel up to 700 more in September due to a high number of pilot resignations. The airline has approached the Delhi High Court seeking action against pilots who left without serving the mandatory notice period. Akasa Air has seen its market share dip to 4.2% in August and has ordered additional planes to boost its operations. The airline has also been cleared to begin international flights.
