PM Narendra Modi sets ‘new record’ on WhatsApp

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s WhatsApp Channel has gained over a million subscribers on its first day. The WhatsApp Channels feature, launched by Meta, aims to provide a private way for users to receive updates from individuals and organizations. The Channels feature is separate from chats and allows users to follow specific channels without revealing their choices to others. Prime Minister Modi is also the most followed Indian on Facebook-owned platforms X, Facebook, and Instagram. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the global rollout of WhatsApp Channels.
