CWG: Sudhir and Sreeshankar win historic medals for India

Sreeshankar clinched the silver medal in the men’s long jump final with a mark of 8.08m, becoming the first Indian male athlete to win a Commonwealth Games medal in long jump. Para-powerlifter Sudhir won India’s first gold in the event at the Commonwealth Games. So far, India has won 20 medals and is at the seventh position on the medals tally in Birmingham.
