Nitish Kumar asks Centre to conduct census and caste census simultaneously

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has urged the Indian government to expedite the implementation of the women’s reservation bill by conducting the decadal census as soon as possible. He also called for a caste census to be conducted alongside the decadal census. The women’s reservation bill stipulates that women’s representation in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies will come into effect after the completion of the delimitation exercise based on population figures from the decadal census. Nitish Kumar emphasized the need for timely completion of the census and highlighted his government’s efforts in women’s empowerment.
