Venezuela press groups demand whereabouts of missing journalist

Veteran Venezuelan journalist Nelin Escalante has gone missing since Friday, and it is alleged he was detained by the Directorate General of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM). The National College of Journalists and other press unions demand his release and disclose suspicions of government authorities’ involvement.
