MCD prepares for mayoral elections after 6 month delay amidst opposition protests

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi will conduct its delayed mayoral elections in the next House meeting. Mayor Shelly Oberoi announced this amidst protests from opposition councillors. The mayoral election is reserved for a Dalit candidate in the third term and has been postponed since April. Oberoi adjourned the current session after approving several proposals.
