Dengue cases soar in Sept;daily avg up from 77 to 109

Bengaluru is experiencing a significant increase in dengue cases this month, with over 2,000 cases recorded between September 1 and 20. The areas most affected are East, South, and Mahadevapura zones. Karnataka has seen a total of 9,208 dengue cases this year, with over half of them occurring in Bengaluru. However, the positivity rate has decreased from 43% in August to 13% in September, indicating progress in controlling the spread. Precautionary measures have been implemented to tackle the prevalence of dengue and chikungunya.
