‘Not only do we boycott UT Foundation Day, we reject it’: J&K Minister Javed Rana

Jammu and Kashmir Minister Javed Ahmed Rana and his National Conference party are boycotting and rejecting the Union Territory Foundation Day, advocating for the restoration of statehood and special status. PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti also calls for observing the day as a black day until special powers are restored. NC leaders argue the UT status implemented in 2019 is unconstitutional.
