‘Adipurush’ action director Pradyumna Kumar Swain joins yet another epic period drama, deets inside

Director Subhrajit Mitra is preparing to film his ambitious project “Devi Chowdhurani,” featuring an ensemble cast led by Srabanti and Prosenjit Chatterjee. After completing an extensive 4,220-km technical recce covering multiple regions, the team is set to begin shooting. The film has also enlisted “Adipurush” action director Pradyumna Kumar Swain and veteran Sham Kaushal for action choreography. Based on a historic novel and set against the backdrop of The Great Bengal Famine, the film is slated for a 2024 release.
