Tropical storm Kong-rey moves toward Shanghai and China’s coast after sweeping Taiwan as typhoon

Kong-rey, downgraded to a tropical storm, expected to impact Shanghai and eastern China with severe rain and winds on Friday. The storm previously hit Taiwan, causing two deaths and extensive damage. Zhejiang, Fujian halted ferry services while most of Taiwan resumed operations. The storm follows Tropical Storm Trami’s deadly path.
