Police officer should be put on unpaid leave for comments about Indian student’s death in Seattle: Police Commission

The Seattle Community Police Commission has recommended the city police chief to relieve and withhold pay for an officer who joked about and downplayed the death of a 23-year-old Indian student. The officer was driving an overspeeding police car that struck the student. The commission also asked the police chief to address concerns about the culture of policing and police practices.
