Indonesia has banned the sale of Google Pixel smartphones due to non-compliance with local manufacturing regulations, aiming to boost domestic production. This follows a similar ban on Apple’s iPhone 16. Both companies failed to meet the requirement of at least 40% locally-sourced components, impacting their ability to sell and operate in the country.
