Census, delimitation right after 2024 LS polls: Amit Shah

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has dismissed concerns about the delay in implementing the Women’s Reservation Bill, stating that the next government will conduct the census and delimitation exercise immediately after the elections. He emphasized that the BJP views women’s empowerment as a matter of principles and beliefs, unlike other parties that see it as a political tool. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi also supported the bill but called for the inclusion of OBC reservation and a caste census.
