Safai work in eight Dwarka pockets now MCD’s duty, talks on for more

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has permanently transferred eight pockets of Dwarka from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) for civic and sanitation services. Talks are underway to shift eight more pockets by the end of the year. The focus is to make Dwarka neat and clean through various measures such as sweeping and cleaning of roads, removal of encroachments, and beautification work. MCD is also planning to outsource road maintenance and beautification work in the area. Parking lots have already been set up in some markets in the transferred pockets.
