Two held at Mumbai airport for smuggling exotic turtles

Customs officials at Mumbai’s CSMI Airport apprehended two passengers arriving from Bangkok, after discovering 12 exotic turtles concealed within their luggage. The turtles, identified as endangered species, were hidden in plastic boxes amidst food packets. The passengers now face legal action for violating wildlife protection laws, while the turtles are being deported.
