Jadavpur University professor’s body found in Uttarakhand lodge

Jadavpur University associate professor Mainak Pal was found dead in a Uttarakhand hotel room on Friday. Initial police investigations suggest suicide. Pal, who was to return to Kolkata, was found with his throat slit. Colleagues and students expressed shock and remembered Pal as a dedicated teacher and a jovial person.
