The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) directed the Chandrayaan-3 lander (Vikram) and rover (Pragyan) to enter sleep mode on September 3. ISRO now anticipates their reactivation as the Sun illuminates the Moon’s surface once more. ISRO chairman S. Somanath expressed, “It would have been simpler if we could ascertain their awakening, but we must patiently observe how the systems respond post-Sunrise.”
