ITR filers with income above Rs 50 lakh increases 5x since 2014; middle class tax burden reduces

Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, individuals earning below Rs 20 lakh annually are experiencing reduced tax burdens, while those earning over Rs 50 lakh are contributing significantly more in taxes. This shift is attributed to robust anti-tax evasion measures and has resulted in a five-fold increase in high-income tax filers.
