CID detects pan-India cyber fraud, 3 held for duping bank of Rs 1 crore in state

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has discovered a pan-India credit card fraud after the arrest of three individuals. The fraud involved defrauding RBL Bank of Rs 1.10 crore. The CID, along with the Tamil Nadu police, apprehended the suspects and seized various items, including mobile phones, ATM cards, and point-of-sale machines. It was revealed that the fraudsters made fake transfers from US-based companies, and a total of 119 credit cards were used in similar crimes across the country, amounting to Rs 15 crore. The investigation is ongoing.
